Diabetic foot ulcers and infections are common complications of diabetic disease. Additionally, these a cause morbidity impose substantial burden to the patient society. It is imperative understand major contributing factors, namely, neuropathy, peripheral arterial disease, immune system dysfunction in order guide treatment. Management disease begins with detailed history thorough physical examination. This examination should focus on manifestations neuropathy and, particular, any evidence or infection. Prevention strategies include multi-disciplinary approach centered education.
